Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 May 2026
Bellshill Curling Club ("we", "us", "the Club") is committed to protecting your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you visit this website or contact us, how it is used, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who we are
Bellshill Curling Club is an amateur curling club based at Lanarkshire Ice Rink, Muir St, Hamilton ML3 6BS. For any privacy queries, please use our contact page.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies. No tracking, advertising, or preference cookies are stored on your device by us. For that reason, you will not see a cookie consent banner.
Analytics
We use Lite Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are popular. Lite Analytics:
- does not set cookies;
- does not collect or store personal data;
- does not track you across other websites;
- aggregates and anonymises visit data (e.g. page URL, referrer, country, browser type).
Because no personal data is processed, no consent is required under PECR or the UK GDPR for this analytics.
Contact form
If you use the contact form on our Contact page, the information you submit (your name, email address, and message) is sent to us via Formspree, our form-handling provider, and forwarded to the Club's email address.
- Lawful basis: your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- Purpose: to reply to your enquiry about membership, events, or other Club matters.
- Retention: we keep enquiry emails only for as long as needed to deal with your request, and routinely delete old correspondence.
- Sharing: we do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing.
Hosting
This website is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. Standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser user agent, and request time) may be processed by the hosting provider for security and reliability purposes. These logs are not used by the Club for tracking or marketing.
External links
Our site links to external websites (for example our Facebook page). Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- request a copy of any personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete data we no longer need;
- object to or restrict our processing of your data;
- withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the basis for processing).
To exercise any of these rights, please get in touch via our contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect the most recent revision.
